I'm doing this tomorrow, and I am so prepared: all my little numbered stickers stuck to the right bits of my bike, pannier packed with things I might need, cycling clothes laid out on the bed so I can grab them in the morning. Now to begin the process of completely shitting myself and wishing I had never signed up to do something even vaguely outside my comfort zone. https://www.ridelondon.co.uk/our-rides/ridelondon-essex-60
@girlonthenet that's so cool ! Also cycling on the motorway is so much fun :blob_cheer:
(In case anyone in Berlin wants to try it out, look up "Sternfahrt", it's next sunday!)
@girlonthenet you can do this! Just remember to pace yourself easy and don’t get so caught up in the start of the race that you go too fast and wreck yourself early. Choose a level of exertion that feels like you can maintain it forever, and then use bursts of extra energy when you need it for climbs or overtakes.
