@jrconlin curious as to why bundle, yarn & assets compilation was troublesome for you; those went very smoothly across the hachyderm servers — could be a specific configuration that isn't optimal?
One thing we do that's a little different is that we always clone into a fresh directory and symlink in our config instead of pulling the tag on top of the existing content. This is mostly to provide for a quick rollback, but maybe helped us avoid possible cache/precompile issues?
