Day 2 of living in the EU with no access to the Threads app. The app nerd inside me is very sad that he can't test this app UI/UX. But also it seems very bland and basics and I'm telling myself I'm not missing much.
@dimillian I also wanted to try but I guess i won’t miss it much. Mastodon is the right place to be imo. Like you I only miss the randomness of the algorithm for the better and for the worse.
@dimillian Seems like it's the same version that was released. I downloaded it from the AppStore before as well. But hope to see some progress in Testflight, too.
It's obvious that the app was rushed out. Just the perfect time window right now.
@dimillian On the other hand, there is something to be said not to test everything and also refusing tu use Meta's properties. I for one deleted my Instagram account years ago and have no intention as yet to open another one through Threads. And I fell fine about it :-).
@dimillian FYI, @stroughtonsmith posted a tip yesterday to force install it, but you need a US/non-EU AppleID for that (and for convenience, an ipatool, great tool to interact with the AppStore via command line)
