After just a few weeks of trial in a country with no rule of law, no independent judiciary, with effectively no right to appeal?
This is a show trial, nothing more. Do you know how the Vietnamese see this trial? They call these victims of show trials "pigs" who are allowed to grow fat for a few years and are then "slaughtered" (literally and figuratively) for two reasons: To confiscate their money (it's far easier than creating sustainable revenue streams for the government) and so that one of the most corrupt nations on Earth can pretend to the world its actually fighting corruption. Barely anyone in Vietnam is falling for this nonsense, but clueless outsiders apparently do.
Meanwhile in America, convicted assholes like Steve Cohen and Michael Milken walk free; and pieces of shit like Ken Griffin and Doug Cifu are free to literally counterfeit shares in the name of “LiQuiDitY” while naked shorting and fucking retail investors— for decades on end.
