Got an email from Rakhi Pancholi's campaign dropping out of the NDP leadership race and endorsing Nenshi. Apparently he's doubled the membership already.
Received an email earlier from Nenshi's team account. Said I would endorse publically when Nenshi gets a Mastodon account for social media. I included Chad's website in the message & mstdn.ca Here is the reply:
I am EXTREMELY disappointed by Kathleen Ganley's team's recent attack on a yet-to-announce candidate. It's a clear sign that Ms Ganley lacks genuine leadership qualities.
Leadership is about rising above, not undermining others to self-promote. Her choice to include a column from Rick Bell, (EWW?) further questions her judgment.
Let's demand better leadership and I encourage everyone to reconsider your support for Team Ganley & her endorsers.
For women’s history month, I’d like to thank Rachel Notley for being the most honest premier Alberta has seen since Lougheed. You worked for Albertans, and the oil companies, but had the best interests of Alberta in mind, just like Lougheed. So thanks and good luck, but Albertans prefer self-flagellation and fascism to good old Alberta-centric real people like Rachel.
Most farmers I know understand the value of their land, stock, crops, family predecessors, and family descendants. They know best what is best for them.
I'm pretty sure that they don't want the government telling them what the fuck they can do with their PRIVATE land.
When the water runs dry...how are they supposed to earn the money for their land and families?
Interesting observation in #ABpoli Twitter. Seeing lots of people complaining about the state of aggressive, rude, and misinformation bots. Almost every post about the #ABNDP gets swarmed by trolls.
I think I'll stay here. 🤷♂️
