The #DeclarationOfIndependence is not a legal document. The people who came up with it also thought the weak #ArticlesOfConfederation were great. When everything started falling apart, they pushed a #Constitution that concentrated more power in a central government. But they had to add the #BillOfRights to get buy-in from the die-hard patriotic libertarian fantasists.
Instead of learning from this that government is just a series of very human compromises, many worship the founders. Fuck me.
Now we need a new bill of rights: a “Health-care [#BillOfRights ” for #patients & #physicians based on the principle of quintuple aim. #Quintuple Aim is a #healthcare#concept based on improved patient experience with better outcomes & lower cost (for our limited resources) that also values clinician wellbeing and social #health#equity . It is time patients and physicians clearly stated what is important and asked #policymakers to listen first.]
Met Police at one point tweeted that they has "intelligence" that some they pre-emptively arrested had rape alarms that they could have thrown to scare horses in coronation parade.
This remind me of Blair's "intelligence" that "proved" WMDs in Iraq, ie both total nonsense to justify heavy handed policy.
And given Met's terrible record of sexually abusive officers, any rape alarm would likely be to protect against assault by an officer.
