Many castles are spooky: only Slains Castle, standing above cliffs near Cruden Bay in Aberdeenshire, inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula after a stay at the castle. Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Coppola's best movie. I had no problems with the love story. There are hints in the novel that justify it. By 1992 a fresh approach was needed. Made when Hollywood could still make visually interesting films. Great movie.
