W und P sind klar, "weather" und "protection", aber wofür steht das I in "wip"?
Irgendwie kann ich mir nicht so richtig vorstellen, sowas auf mein #Brompton zu montieren. Ich hätte Angst, schlechter sehen zu können oder gar durch eine Windböe umgeworfen zu werden.
On day 3 of our #Brompton tour we bicycled from Arboga to Eskilstuna, Sweden. On the picture you can see Lake Hjälmaren. The lake's peaceful surface perfectly mirrors my state of mind after three days of touring through Sweden's countryside: All the world's noisy nervousness and merciless madness, amplified to the extreme by all the media, is far, so far away from me.

Today, I was out on an island-hopping tour in the Stockholm Archipelago with my #Brompton. First bicycling, then riding with a ferry, then bicycling, then taking a commuter boat, and finally bicycling again. The Archipelago east of Stockholm has approximately 24000 islands; so, there is a lot to hop out there, a perfect place to travel multi-modal with a folding bike.
#BikeStreak, Day 34: Mostly #quaxing, especially doing groceries. Not many kilometers yet (1.75km), but many kilograms: Frontbag 14kg, rear bag 10kg (beverages), #Brompton with #Velospeeder e-assist and the big battery 17kg, me myself + clothing, multiple swiss army knives, wallet, keyring, etc. 87kg, i.e. 128kg overall. Yes, the Brompton was overloaded.

Ich fahre #Brompton bis ca. 40..50 km. Darüber wird's für mich ermüdend, aber ich bin auch extrem unsportlich und schaffte mit einem anderen Fahrrad wohl auch nicht mehr.
Falls man viel damit fahren will, kann man überlegen, den 8-Gang-Shimano-Umbau von #JulianeNeuss (#Junik-#hpv) vornehmen zu lassen oder den 14-Gang-Rohloff-Umbau von #BenCooper (#Kinetics).
@ilanti: Sehe es ähnlich wie @lerk und @2Takter, nur dass ich bis zu 70km pro Tag auf dem #Brompton fahre. Seit dem #Velospeeder E-Bike-Umbau (auch von #JulianeNeuss) darf's auch mit Bergen sein. Im Herbst waren's mal 800 Höhenmeter und 65km an einem Tag. Der 313Wh-Akku war aber nach 22km und steilen ca. 350 Höhenmeter leer. Bin trotzdem weitergeradelt. 😎 Bin jedenfalls seit 17 Jahren happy mit dem Brompton und fahre 70km bis 400km pro Monat damit.
Das ist es :) sieht inzwischen nicht mehr ganz so neu aus, denn wir zwei sind ständig unterwegs ... auf der Straße und mit den Öffis, wenn es größere Ausflüge werden.
Toll ist der niedrige Durchstieg des #Brompton, da komme ich jederzeit mit dem Prothesenbein durch, ohne hängen zu bleiben.
Yesterday I was out on my favourite #Brompton mountainbike-like trail again. I try to get over the roots and stones in slow motion; real fun, I must say. I feel a bit like a circus artist here and there. The Brompton is a really versatile, little machine with lots of use cases.

After checking to ride to the top with car, decided to ride today. Didn't feel like 70kmh winds, but there's strong cold gusts. No ice and sunny weather
I cycled from canfranc-estacion to bedous. Once connected by rail. Bud sadly not anymore.
It's about 38km, 529m climbing, 1310m down.
I'm cycling on a electric c-line brompton, 44 teeth front, 6 speed.
#30DaysOfBiking, Day 21: Took part in the mass bicycle tour #slowUp#Ticino (https://slowup.ch/ticino/) with the #Brompton. I rode 52.4km according to the Garmin GPS. Officially it's a 50km round course between #Locarno and #Bellinzona. Took me 4h45min including all breaks. Needed the e-assist more often than expected due partially hefty wind. It had around 15 degrees C, though. So temperature-wise it was a comfortable ride. There were surely several thousand cyclists taking part in the event.
An einer Ampel wartend sprach mich ein Radfahrer auf meine Positionslichter an. Daraus entwickelte sich ein Gespräch, so dass wir uns, die letzten Kilometer nebeneinander fahrend, weiter unterhalten haben.
Das war ein schönes Erlebnis.
Mit #Klapprad unterwegs kommt man oft ins Gespräch mit anderen Menschen. Nicht nur mit denen, die auch #Faltrad fahren, sondern mit allen möglichen Menschen. Besonders in Ländern, wo die Dinger noch selten sind.
Kurz nachdem ich ankam, kam ein junger Mechaniker raus und ruft beim Anblick des Gespanns sofort zurück in die Werkstatt: "Stefan! Stefan! Ein #Brompton mit Anhänger!"
Amüsant daran: Ich habe beide Bromptons und den Anhänger dort gekauft. Aber wohl vor der Zeit des jungen Mechanikers. 😇
Someone recently asked how I carry water on my tours with the #Brompton.
Sometimes I only use a pouch attached to the handlebars for a bottle of water (0.6 lt).
On longer tours I use the big Borroughs bag in the front. This provides two rather large bags which are easily accessible. Each of them can hold up to two bottles (2 times 0.6 + 0.5 lt)
In the back, I can carry another large bottle (1.5 liters).
Get moving! Yes, I mean you! I know several people whom I wished they would finally get on their bicycles and get moving. So far, they only talked about it, but never really acted. They have a variety of excuses: They "have no time"; "their body is not in shape"; "it's too cold right now, I wait until it gets warmer"; "my bicycle would need to get fixed first"; and many more. I would like to urge them to lift their bodies now.
