Hat vielleicht noch jemand eine MOS 8501 CPU für den #Commodore#C16 über? Die hier wurde vom Vorgänger bei einem Reparaturversuch falsch herum auf den Sockel gesteckt und ist dabei gestorben. Das Gerät soll weiter leben. #Retrocomputing
Squint a bit and this one looked like an Epyx C64 sports game. Only it was running on the underpowered C16. Somehow, Udo Gertz had squeezed every scrap of power out of Commodore’s machine. And, sure, it was a multiload, but that didn’t matter when you could spend hours delving into everything from kayaking to javelin, rather than the usual tat that lurked on the system like a bad smell.
If you want to enjoy C16/Plus/4 stuff with SID music, and not lucky enough to own an NST Audio Extension, get the next best thing, as presented by @root42 - the ReSeed card.

Take Metrocross, rotate it 90 degrees, add a bouncy ball, and make the thing run at breakneck speed. That was Trailblazer, which on the C16 was a marvel. Tricky level design drove you bonkers as you directed your ball along 3D tracks and recognised each failure was down to your less than dextrous digits. The C64 version added two-player split-screen – icing on an already tasty cake.
It was fascinating when games became completely different on other platforms. Kikstart was a side-on C64 motocross game. But on the C16, it was a fast-paced arcade effort that ‘borrowed’ from Superbike (Century Electronics). Honestly, the C16 effort is more fun – the original Kikstart concept didn’t click until its sequel. Fortunately, Cosine (much later) ported the C16 effort to the C64.

Il PLA scalda due volte più veloce della CPU, e anche tanto....provo a prendere un PLA sostitutivo, la cosa buona è che è tutto già zoccolato.
