If anyone is using #eero and noticing oddities today, about ~20 hours ago, Eero support indicated a problem with their app. But supposedly as of 5 hours ago it was "resolved".

Right now, if you try to use the app, it will claim you're not signed in. If you attempt to sign in via email / phone number, it may initially say it doesn't recognize the address.

Keep trying. They're under load as -everyone- is having to sign back in again.

Be aware: your port forwards may be nuked and need re-doing

For those who have an #eero system, has anybody seen dropouts on the latest release v6.16.2-88? I've seen random dropouts on different devices at different times. I did not experience any of this on the last version.

Just got my early-release #Firewalla #GoldSE! YEAH!

Soon to be rid of #Eero, #EeroPro6 once and for all!

Loved it when they were independent. Hated it when they put so much they promised in the original product behind a #Paywall subscription!

@glennf Considering #Firewalla #GoldPlus. I saw your review a little over a year ago on the #Gold (non-plus).

I've got #EeroPro 6's now. Tired of #Eero losing internal network bridging when cable modem they're connected to goes down. Also tired of them adding new features only if you pay $9/mo AND rebooting my network whenever they want to in order to update firmware.

Looking at Firewalla and #Netgear #WAX630. Did the Firewalla do everything a normal router does?

ps: I've got gig cable svc.

Just upgraded to gigabit fibre internet with #Telus (from 300 Mbps which I actually reached consistently). Speeds that I'm now seeing with my #eero Pro 6E on my new #Pixel Tablet in #Vancouver as measured by fast.com:

• #Mullvad (connected to their Vancouver PoP): 150 Mbps (what I had before)
• VPN by #Google One: 390 Mbps
• No VPN: 640 Mbps

I have 72 IP reservations on my home #network. My mom’s Mac mini has two of them: one for Ethernet & one for Wi-Fi, but it uses Wi-Fi because I haven’t pulled a cable yet.

For the past few weeks, the mini has been having an unsolvable #DNS issue. I finally fixed it by deleting and recreating BOTH reservations on my #eero router, because the issue persisted when I brought the mini to my desk and plugged it in.

What? How?

Can someone smarter than me explain this?

My Google Wifi Pro 6E keeps disconnecting every now and then (~once a week). I am going to see if Costco can take it back, but I’d like to hear thoughts on what everyone likes these days as a 6E mesh system.
