OK, I get that there are male and female divisions in athletics because of generally significant differences in strength.
But why are there male/female divisions in chess? As far as I can observe, there is no significant difference in intellectual ability (in fact, given the large numbers of male idiots, men may have a lower average level of intelligence).
Could it be that men don't want to risk their unsubstantiated claim to intellectual superiority? #Chess #GenderApartheid
