Maybe I was still astonished when I finished the album, but I totally forgot my verdict.

This album sounds like it is from a different band. Apart from Abbath's vocals, everything else sounds different, and I dare say, better.

More melodic, better composed, better production.

This is a great record, 4 out of 5!

Yep, Damned In Black was definitely a small step back to the roots, but the modern sound introduced with At The Heart Of Winter stayed, which is a big plus for me.

Damned In Black is a good album, very enjoyable, 3,5 out of 5.
