7:30 am start today! Apart from at breakfast when travelling with a delegation, I think that today is my earliest start for a simultaneous interpreting job. Luckily it's online from home! 🙃

In WCAG 2.2, I found a term "encloses" in Glossary section, with no links from anywhere in WCAG success criteria. I wonder what does this term means. The description only says "solidly bounds or surrounds".

@patrick_h_lauke @caztcha Notes are informative:

> sections marked as "non-normative", diagrams, examples, and notes are informative (non-normative)

Trying to pay attention to a dubbed movie, the posts, and my family group text (who are currently debating the ethical & practical use of in 🤯).

Language policy in the Belgian Senate.

In this parliamentary committee room (for institutional reforms) there’s live interpreting for the two main national languages: Dutch and French.

But on the microphones the instructions are written down in neither language, but in English (which has no legal status as a language in Belgium).

(I love it.)

Photo of the entire parliamentary committee room.

folks, what is your opinion on WCAG 2.2's Focus Not Obscured when we're talking about focus targets that are behind a thing™ that the user opened/caused?

Example: The links behind that Hamburger menu: does 2.4.11/12 require the menu auto-close on blur? https://codepen.io/marcus/pen/rNQVOpZ/f7b4131baa9bdfa7829d55809161495c

Change the variable autoClose from true to false to switch behaviors

@siblingpastry @marcus There is no such thing as a “normative note”:

> Introductory material, appendices, sections marked as "non-normative", diagrams, examples, and notes are informative (non-normative).
