Here's a look at the newest track from Metaphysical Shitposting! This one was entirely modular/semi modular gear. #MiniBrute2s on one voice, 0-Coast (thru Strega) on one, #Strega doing an intermittent drone and a final voice that was made with noise thru a bandpass filter (WMDevices #C4RBN filter) that then goes thru a flanger (Happy Nerding FX Aid XL).
Delay via Mimeophon; reverb via Desmodus Versio. Both routed via mixer's aux sends.
I built this patch over a period of two or three weeks. It started with a little sequence on the MiniBrute 2s that faded in and out under LFO control. I tried a couple different secondary voices before I came up with the flanged noise that swoops in and out of the track. Once that was in place, I decided to try the #MakeNoise "Easel" (i.e. the combo of Strega + 0-Coast + 0-CTRL) as a third/fourth and final voice.
Once that was working it was just a matter of adding effects and performing it.
#New#music! As promised, the corpus of Metaphysical Shitposting has grown! A new track has appeared! It's "Cosmic Horror in the Strip Mall Parking Lot," a direct sonic exploration of that peculiar, mind-rending experience.
This is my first foray into using the @expertsleepers Disting EX Resonator algorithm, which I used to modulate the voice from the #Schlappi triad. The #MakeNoise Morphagene is used to process vocal samples.
In tonight's #ModularTransmission, a vintage scifi radio show is put through a somewhat insane lens composed of the #Schlappi Interstellar Radio and #MakeNoise Morphagene.
Here's a performance video of my latest Make Noise Easel patch. Just a little jam to show how you can use the performance features of the 0-CTRL to get more mileage out of its relatively limited number of steps.
