I love a story about a woman who remakes herself late in life, and that is what does. Beautiful from .

Hurricane makes landfall along the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula west of Cabo San Lucas with winds of 80 mph (130 km/h).

Norma will move into the Gulf of California as a tropical storm on Sunday, and make a second landfall in Sinaloa thereafter.

Norma hitting Cabo San Lucas right around now.

ai6yr,

Per NHC: "Norma is moving just west of due north (355/7 kt) this morning. The hurricane is expected to make landfall in the hurricane warning area
this afternoon, cross the southern portion of Baja California Sur
tonight, and emerge over the southern Gulf of California on Sunday. Then, the weakening cyclone should turn toward the northeast and east-northeast and slowly approach the coast of Sinaloa in western Mexico on Sunday night into early Monday."

Hurricane Norma on its way to Cabo, landfall somewhere around noon tomorrow (Saturday).

Right now, looks like Norma is expected to be a CAT2 into Cabo. I should go look around at some of the other (less situationally-aware) social media and see if the tourists realize they are about to be smacked.

Category 3 hurricane Norma heading towards Cabo San Lucas, expected to be a major hurricane when it hits.

ai6yr,

Ah, there's a distinct gradient in sea surface temperatures there, no wonder the computer forecast is so wishy washy..
