This is clearly a bridge machine from pen plotters. It supports HP-GL and basically responds just like a 7585B pen plotter would. I can send plots to this the same way I do to my pen plotters and it “just works.”
This was likely crucial at the switch from pens to inkjet based plotters to maintain compatibility while CAD software caught up.
Sometimes I like more the unfinished plot than the finished one. Let's see how this one turns out. The new faster and better sounding servo is definitely an improvement. And this is a real test XD poor thing... #penplotter#CreativeCoding
Finished. I don't find it very exciting, but I had to put it out so I can move into the next one. 4371 lines, 21 minutes. Paper 15x12cm. Up 60 down 40. I'm pretty sure I can reduce the vertical motion, maybe that makes it faster? #penplotter
The #PenPlotter was made for designs like this! I love recreating the original logo specifications. This is just an approximate as the original didn’t have dimensions but love the way it looks.
More logo specification plots. This time, the Aphex Twin logo by Paul Nicholson in 1991. After composing this, I realized the logo I had been using (found online ages ago) wasn’t exactly correct.
