Last night I watched the finale of #Silo and... The whole thing was so solidly done. While it's been a bit since I read Wool, it hit all the beats that I remember from the book, but I'm pretty sure they changed some things, though I can't point to specific examples.
I especially enjoyed seeing how they showed the silo itself. It's largely as I imagined it, and it was very cool to see it on screen.
When you talk about a show post-watching, make sure you CW it, and put the show's name in hashtag, so people can find it after they watch.
One choad with a whiny complaint about it with no CW, I went to his profile to make a note, saw I'd already left a "doesn't CW politics" note, BLOCKED. Sent out to clean.
I'm irritated by the very slow walk out and fake death, and Judas filling the screen in the cafeteria half the time.
They really needed to have a conversation with Walker about low-quality heat tape first; we get one "ours is better", but just how much better is important.
The other silos are placed much, much too close together. The S1 one is visibly 1-2km across? Needs much more to isolate it from sounds.
Silo 1x10: "Outside": I thought I had a pretty good running theory for what was going on. While I was right about one thing, I was completely wrong about some others! It feels like the perfect reveal for the season finale, because I really have no idea where it could go from here. This was easily one of my favorite shows of the year so far! #silo
Currently enjoying #Silo on apple tv. Just finished ep 5. Alas I can’t look up more about it because spoilers are so easy to come by, so I know very little about it tbh.
(I am also enjoying the copious amount of shots with Rebecca Ferguson with her sleeves rolled up)
#Silo was a good series in the end. Stretched a bit too thin, but shows nowadays seem to be like that.
Where things slowed down too much I was kept hooked by the suspense and solid feeling of the world of the Silo.
The mystery of it all lacked appeal for me quickly after ep 2/3 but is back now after the finale as I’m intrigued by the next steps of a few of the characters.
The finale of #Silo contains another impossible escape by Sheriff Juliette Nichols.
This series has great world-building, beautiful set design, and a compelling mystery, combined with good character development and political-style intrigue and machinations.
The writers disrupting all that with the worst of action tropes (the unkillable hero) is a disservice to the show and us viewers, imo.
The final reveal only gives us more questions, not answers. Solid ending.
