In a Native American tale, a group of women pondered how to dispose of Snapping Turtle after trapping him. Because their captive acted most afraid when the option of drowning him was brought up, the women threw him into a lake, allowing the turtle trickster to swim to freedom. #MythologyMonday
An electrical appliance in our kitchen refused to work for several days.
When all attempts to fix it had failed, we somewhat reluctantly acknowledged the presence of the Trickster archetype, which has the power to disrupt or ‘overthrow programs’ (according to Jung and Campbell).
The appliance now works.

The episode Tall Tales is a great episode purely because it's so funny.
It's a joke episode, but I think they get away with it simply because it's hilarious. It looks like they really had fun with it. Sam and Dean are great comic actors.
I kinda hate the Trickster character - I much prefer #Q from Star Trek - but despite the absurdity of the premise, it's a really enjoyable episode.
There are plenty of worse #Supernatural joke episodes!
