there is now a fedi tumblr clone called #wafrn
the familiar ui feels less confusing than mastodon & would be a good fit for #fandom but for the time being it's pretty empty
New feature just dropped: CUSTOM CSS. This custom css will apply in your whole wafrn experience.
It will also apply to the people who visit your profile! They will get a popup asking if they'd like to enable custom user generated CSS, and once they go for it, they will witness your blog in all its glory, with your custom CSS.
If you'd like to do this, there are a few things you must know:
Images and fonts will only load from media.wafrn.net and the cache server. So if you'd like to use an image as background for something, you must upload it to wafrn first. You can create a post with the image, and you can copy the url from there
Right now we dont have any, but if you want any custom font you can let us know and we will upload it to the resources page
This feature might break some things in the future but we will do our best to avoid it. But please, avoid extreme custom modifications on the notifications page, since it might recive a big change at some point in the next few weeks
Here is an example CSS that will change the background of the page:

You can copy this and add it to the CUSTOM CSS textbox in the edit profile page

Evil news everyone! We might have fixed the issues with pleroma and akkoma. Our posts sent to *oma users will no longer fall into the void! I would like to thanks the akkoma people on the irc, specially Helene. They were really patient with my stupidly malformed json-ld and helped me to make it less wrong! :D
My work is not perfect yet, and our post might appear as "in response to nothing" during this moment. This will be fixed in the near future.
Also we have fixed the issue of the drunk user seeing two youtube previews instead of one. We have made you less drunk and now its fixed
We have removed our dependency on google captcha and the youtube player!
We now use a rate-limiter for posts and registrations and login attemps, so no need to have the invisible captcha.
Also regarding youtube, who did watched a youtube video inside wafrn? Not me and probably not you! The new system will open youtube in a new tab and depending on your phone, open the youtube app.

@gabboman So your server sends content individually to all the contacts it just knows about? This sounds unwise to me, it's going to generate some discontent with remote servers. Better stick to contacts who actively requested updates through the Follow feature.
It still doesn't explain why Friendica isn't filtering this content. I'll wait for your next post outside of this conversation where I'm mentioned so it makes sense I'm receiving replies.
This will show ALL the posts, unfiltered. It's a temporary function by now. In the future this function will change to the typical "hey look whats popular arround here" or something I dont know. Have fun finding new content!
