unKonf will happen on Saturday this week, and I am super excited! YEAH!

Since 2015 unKonf will start with a keynote, which is unusual for a "traditional" barcamp. I am super happy that my friend @ufried instantly said yes when I asked him to keynote unKonf. I am more than confident that he'll rock the stage as always. And he's bringing an important topic to talk about: Patterns of sustainability - Going green in IT

Next Saturday is unKonf time again! YEAH!

Canceling unKonf last year broke my heart, but the decision was necessary. I am thrilled that my @bitexpert team agreed to bring back unKonf as an in-person event. I cannot wait to see you all in Mannheim, listen to an excellent keynote, and then figure out what's on your mind to talk about ;)

How to use Elasticsuite to boost the search results by a manually defined sorting relevance? This can be solved just by configuring Elasticsuite, no code adaptions are needed. I've documented the steps in my bitExpert blog post https://blog.bitexpert.de/blog/elasticsuite_sort_relevance_boost

Saturday next week will be unKonf time! YEAH!

We still have a few tickets left to sell, and if you cannot afford to buy a ticket for yourself, no worries. We've also got you covered. We found a sponsor for 1 ticket. If you are part of an underrepresented group or cannot afford the unKonf ticket price, let me know, and we'll make it happen. No questions to be asked. Contact me for details.

Next Wednesday & Thursday, you can meet me at the IONOS Partner Summit in Berlin.

I look forward to the event to meet with other partners and learn all about new offerings & services. We at @bitexpert have been partnering with IONOS Cloud for more than 10 years now and use their services for ourselves and our customer projects. Will I see you there?

Docusaurus is a great static website builder but is lacking a good publishing workflow (like all static website builders, I guess). In my blog post, I've outlined our current publishing process https://blog.bitexpert.de/blog/our_docusaurus_publishing_workflow

I have to admit I am not the best at editing neon configuration files. I regularly mess that up, and then things break. How to fix that? Well, why not lint those files in the CI pipeline? I've outlined how in one of my blog posts: https://blog.bitexpert.de/blog/linting_neon_files

Next week Thursday & Friday, my colleagues Boas & Holger and I will be at the API Platform Conference in Lille.

The conference is one of the few that I attend without being a speaker myself. And this is for a reason: Boas & Holger have their first session at an (international) conference. I cannot wait to see both on the big stage talking about an API Platform migration project we did at @bitexpert a while ago.

Why unKonf?

Unlike traditional conferences, unKonf focuses on networking and building relationships. unKonf attendees are open-minded and willing to share their insights with others. If you encounter a problem in one of your projects or looking for a fresh perspective, don't hesitate to ask for feedback.

Sounds interesting? Get your ticket here https://www.unkonf.de/en

In one of our projects, we are using a CMS Headless setup and wanted to include as a web tracking solution. I've covered the route we took in our post https://blog.bitexpert.de/blog/matomo_tracking_sulu_headless

What is unKonf?

unKonf is a one-day unconference, hosted by @bitexpert. unKonf focuses around web and software development topics and follows a traditional barcamp format. With the exception of our keynote speaker, there are no predetermined speaker slots. All attendees are encouraged to contribute their ideas and topics for discussion. Sounds interesting? Why DDEV?
In my recent @bitexpert blog post, I'll share my thoughts on why DDEV is an interesting tool for managing local development environments for us. Are you using DDEV already, and why not? :)
