Die Wartezeit im Zug habe ich mal schnell genutzt, um ein neues Printmotiv für Sticker zu erstellen. Steht unter #CC0 und kann gerne verteilt werden, wenn ihr auch gegen #Demeter und Schwurbel im #Bio-Essen seit.
Tolle Unterkunft! Es hat alles reibungslos funktioniert. Gut gefallen hat mir auch, dass es #Bio Seife gab, dass das Haus eine #Wärmepumpe hat und die Eigentümer eine E-Ladesäule haben (wobei Konstanz recht viele Landemöglichkeiten bietet und es nicht weit von der Unterkunft öffentliche Landeplätze gibt). Von der Unterkunft kommt man ganz gut zum #Bahnhof und zur #Altstadt. #EAutos zum Mieten gibt es z.B. beim Carsharing von Stadt-Mobil Südbaden, welche Netzwerk von cambio und co sind. Renault Zoes gibt es z.B. in der Jakobsstr., Zähringer-Höfe oder bei der Alemannenstr.
Das Bett knarzt ein wenig. Mich hat es nicht gestört. Der Kühlschrank ist manchmal etwas laut, wobei der lässt sich für die Nacht bestimmt ausschalten.
Es gab Luftentfeuchter im Zimmer und im Bad, die empfand ich nicht als störend.
Der Laden ist echt beliebt, sodass ich am Wochenende kein Platz gefunden habe und kurzerhand nebenan bei helga gelandet bin. Teilweise #bio und sehr leckeres grünes #Hummus (mit Petersilie?)

Die aktuelle Situation in den USA mit den Infektionen bei Milchkühen sieht ziemlich bedrohlich aus. Zumal aktuelle Daten aus Milch in Supermärkten auf sogar noch stärkere Verbreitung hindeuten als bisher bekannt.

"The #RitesOfEleusis, or the Eleusinian Mysteries, were the secret rituals of the mystery school of #Eleusis and were observed regularly from c. 1600 BCE - 392 CE. Exactly what this mystic ritual was no one knows; but why the ancient Greeks participated in it can be understood by the testimonials of the initiated.
"The Eleusinian Mysteries, held each year at Eleusis, Greece, fourteen miles northwest of Athens, were so important to the Greeks that, until the arrival of the Romans, The Sacred Way (the road from Athens to Eleusis) was the only road, not a goat path, in all of central Greece. The mysteries celebrated the story of Demeter and #Persephone but, as the initiated were sworn to secrecy on pain of death as to the details of the ritual, we do not know what form these rituals took. We do know, though, that those who participated in the mysteries were forever changed for the better and that they no longer feared death.
"The rituals were based on a symbolic reading of the story of Demeter and Persephone and provided initiates with a vision of the afterlife so powerful that it changed the way they saw the world and their place in it. Participants were freed from a fear of death through the recognition that they were immortal souls temporarily in mortal bodies. In the same way that Persephone went down to the land of the dead and returned to that of the living each year, so would every human being die only to live again on another plane of existence or in another body."

@AnthroBlogger Für #BioOhneEso empfehle ich, dass wir das evidenzbasierte Siegel von @biozyklisch_vegan fördern, die regelmäßig #Demeter kritisieren und bessere Standards bieten.
Ich sage das, weil die angeblich hohen Standards ja immer noch als Argument für Demeter angeführt werden

From now on, the days get shorter in the Northern hemisphere as #Persephone descends to the underworld and Demeter's sadness halts any plant growth until her daugher returns in Spring. Unless it is actually in winter that Persephone is with #Demeter. Both interpretations are compelling.
This week's #MythologyMonday theme is trees 🌲
Many stories in #GreekMythology have trees in it, some of which I will be telling in this thread.
The most famous tree-related myth must be the transformation of Daphne. Hit with Eros' fiery arrows, #Apollon was burning with desire for the nymph and pursued her when she fled from his advances. Feeling her strength wane, Daphne prayed for help from either her father or Gaia and was turned into the first laurel tree.
@mythology The laurel and the cypress are both sacred to Apollon. But what happens if someone cuts down a sacred tree? Erysichthon found out the hard way: he cut down a poplar in #Demeter's sacred grove but the goddess felt that her holy tree was in pain and she disguised herself as her own priestess, warning Erysichthon but he would not listen so she cursed him with insatiable hunger so that when he had eaten away all his wealth, he ate himself.

Four deities spring to my mind when I think of work: #Demeter, #Hermes, #Hephaistos, and #Athena. #AncientGreece was an agricultural society with 80% of the population being involved in this line of work. In Greek mythology, it was Demeter who invented agriculture but according to Diodorus Siculus she burnt all the grain when her daughter #Persephone vanished out of grief and anger.
While searching for #Persephone, Demeter was received by Eleusinian prince #Triptolemos and his family and after she had found Persephone, she taught him how to grow crops and provided him with a winged, serpent-drawn chariot to spread her gift across the earth. Triptolemus was the favourite of #Demeter, and it is said that he became the inventor of the plough. Pausanias even tells of a temple of Triptolemos at #Eleusis.
