It has been a very intense day, I came out of the terrified for what can happen to Julian and, in theory, to other journalists.
If Julian deserves prison, I deserve the same: I have published the very same revelations.

Dear readers,
there are less than 3 working days before a crucial hearing on Julian at the British .

If we journalists are granted permission by the UK authorities to attend it, we will inform you, if not, we won't be able to do it.

This is a massive decision for people stuck in Australia's inhumane indefinite detention nightmare.

That any Australian government felt it was acceptable to shove someone into detention without any hope of being release when no crime occurred is a black mark on all of us; too many of us agreed with the policy.

"On Wednesday at least a majority of the high court ruled that indefinite immigration detention is unlawful when there was “no real prospect of removal from Australia becoming practicable in the reasonably foreseeable future”.

About. Bloody. Time.

But: why do we wait for a court decision to do the right thing by our fellow humans?

Breaking: indefinite immigration detention unlawful rules Australia's

"Indefinite detention is unlawful, the high court has held, in a landmark decision overturning a 20-year old precedent that underpins Australia’s immigration detention system." (Guardian live blog a few minutes ago, presumably with more detailed story to come)
