05 Can you feel the emotions of your characters when you write them?

Yes. I cry when they cry, I get excited when they are excited. I avoid getting depressed when they are depressed.

No. They experience a lot of fear. I don't share that emotions with them.

As I said, while I feel the sadness, love, excitement, etc. of my characters I don't feel their fear. This is one reason I am always hesitant to claim to write horror. I prefer to say I write creepy/weird tales. (Other horror writers I have talked to say the same thing about not feeling the fear. I suppose that is understandable, would you write horror if you actually felt terror.)
