Gene Simmons named his favourite punk song of all time
Gene Simmons is a big fan of authentic music, but there is one punk song in particular that stands out to him. Read more about it here.
#londoncalling
I thought about the Clash briefly yesterday, strangely via one of my previously less favorite of their songs that's grown on me recently popping in my head-- "Lovers Rock" (it's ALWAYS in my head lately?) & I knew I'd have to listen to London Calling today. I've listened to it so many times, it's like, a PART of me. I know every weird little sound on it. And I still listen to it multiple times every year. Just like Superunknown.
Ah, the perfect album. Not all bands can do it. I think very few can.

London Calling is the third studio album by English punk rock band The Clash, originally released as a double album in UK on this day in 1979 by CBS Records, and in the US on January 1980 by Epic Records
Update: I listened to London Calling in its entirety and then the whole Clash 'best of' 2 disc collection right afterwards. That's just how it goes with those Clash boys. Gotta have more and more.
Thanks to @ianRobinson , I just had to dust this one off.
I had bought the original press somewhere in London in 78 or 79. It bums me out that I don't have it any more: The record's label had that beautiful picture of the carnations wreath on it.
Anyhoo. Good times. I'll have a beer for breakfast , I think, crank this mofo, toast David and Jet.
