It definitely feels like vindication when I get linked in a #LWN article as one side of the scale (the optimistic side) compared to a pessimistic take and Johnathan Corbet explains that both positions can be true at the same time. https://lwn.net/SubscriberLink/967866/ec329f5f32e43b15/

It's wild to me that we keep putrified architectures around in #Linux for that long in the first place. And then when we finally remove it people argue for them to be put back in.
I really have a hard time understanding this.
I had one of those ia64 servers at home for about a month which I actually picked up from someone in Berlin just to fscking test copy_thread() changes in 9ba27414f2ec
@doctormo@Triffen Thanks for the kind words about Ukraine!
N.B. I just posted an open letter to #LWN about "Libre Arts": https://app4soft.neocities.org/lwn-and-libre-arts
Jonathan Corbet already replied that he didn't know about Alexandre Prokoudine's past comments on Annexation of Crimea by Russia — now cooperation with him would be reviewed.
Meanwhile editor of the "Libre Arts" few days ago commented “with pleasant interspersed" about illegal construction made by Russians in the annexed Crimea: https://www.linux.org.ru/forum/talks/17283415?cid=17284446
