@PChoate @bookstodon Also, regarding about an objective world, I, for one, wish people would care about it more. But everyone does care to some extent -- if they didn't we'd see them walking into walls instead of through doors. (A silly example, I know, and there are more serious examples of people ignoring "objective truth.") There's a great deal more there than can be expressed in 500 characters.

What do you know about Set Theory?

"As much as I know about String Theory"

"I didn’t know when I started grad school if there were sites that were older than 13,000 years, so I emailed an archeologist at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, just out of the blue, and asked him if he knew of older sites. He emailed me back saying yes, there were some, but to not tell anybody what I was studying. He said, “They’re just gonna call you crazy. And you will never get grants.”" ...

This could be a very unpopular toot

Currently, I have no time to sit around and wonder about societal issues. Political issues. Housing crisis. Food crisis. Ultimately others crisis/issues.

Your issues, aren't mine, your crisis isn't mine, your inabilities aren't mine. Your whole life isn't my responsibility.

I have enough with my own. I don't need yours. If this makes me selfish for thinking of myself first then I'm ok with that.
