This page is a hidden gem, it's in German but you will get around. It's a #camera#museum that categorised all its #cameras in a searchable #database.
It's absolutely brilliant (tough obviously not compete) if you are looking for a specific #analog camera, a certain #film format or #objective. Also great for finding an alternative👌
"As soon as we die, we enter into fiction. Just ask two different family members to tell you about someone recently gone and you will see what I mean. Once we can no longer speak for ourselves, we are interpreted" (Hilary Mantel).
@PChoate@bookstodon Also, regarding #objective#truth about an objective world, I, for one, wish people would care about it more. But everyone does care to some extent -- if they didn't we'd see them walking into walls instead of through doors. (A silly example, I know, and there are more serious examples of people ignoring "objective truth.") There's a great deal more there than can be expressed in 500 characters.
No surprise that #canadian#media has been biased and everything but #objective in their reporting of the #ethniccleansing of #gaza. The most watched news broadcast even failed to identify a majority of the #palestinian voices it featured by name, dehumanizing them as a result.
"I didn’t know when I started grad school if there were sites that were older than 13,000 years, so I emailed an archeologist at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, just out of the blue, and asked him if he knew of older sites. He emailed me back saying yes, there were some, but to not tell anybody what I was studying. He said, “They’re just gonna call you crazy. And you will never get grants.”" ...
Currently, I have no time to sit around and wonder about societal issues. Political issues. Housing crisis. Food crisis. Ultimately others crisis/issues.
Your issues, aren't mine, your crisis isn't mine, your inabilities aren't mine. Your whole life isn't my responsibility.
And, while fascists plot to take over the U.S., #CNN keeps pushing Jake Tapper's new novel (along with Barbie). Warner Bros. Discovery -- all class, all the way ... to the bottom.
