Holly Wu presented a fascinating new project called Ectype at StrangeLoop.

What if we could get the benefits of TypeScript in plain ol’ JavaScript with just a library and a linter and extend the benefits of TypeScript to dynamic runtime input?

I like this approach for not needing transpiling and the types being part of the code instead of a comment like TSDoc.
