Yes, I install Libreboot myself with a RaspberryPi and Pomona 5250 testing clip. Anything that’s already supported by Coreboot, can be supported to Libreboot. They have a list of hardware that they currently support listed here:
I actually sold Libreboot laptops previously on eBay, I used to sell the T440p a lot. Now, I’m about to setup my own website so I can start selling them for even cheaper. I also helped add Libreboot support for the Dell Optiplex 9020/7020 (Real thanks goto Mate Kukri, as I used his Optiplex port from Coreboot).
Though I wish I knew about https://upgradedjango.com/4.2/ in the past. I spent a while trying to figure out that I needed CSRF_TRUSTED_ORIGINS in the past 😅
@webology I can't quite put my finger on it, but when I'm reading a comparison, I feel like I want a more compact layout whereas https://upgradedjango.com/#supported-versions feels like there's a lot space between it all. Maybe that's why it feels a little off to me.
Luxtorpeda doesn’t support many games, but it’s pretty great for all the games it works for.
For anyone unfamiliar with the project, you can select it as an alternative to proton for a game, and for any supported games it will download open source projects that replace the original engine/client for the game. For example selecting it for Morrowind will run Morrowind through the OpenMW project, which gives a much better experience than the original game engine.
Here’s a list of all the supported games. There’s also sister projects Boxtron for running DOSbox games, and Roberta for running adventure games through ScummVM. All should be available to download through ProtonUP-qt, which is available on the discover store.
Position: Experimental 6DoF tracking support with external SLAM/VIO systems is upstreamed but still being worked on. Tested with RealSense D455 and Samsung Odyssey+, Reverb G2, Oculus Rift S.
Additional Notes: HMD only, no controllers. Tested: HP Reverb, HP Reverb G2, Samsung Odyssey, Lenovo Explorer, others: maybe.
While not expressing disagreement or agreement with the #study's #conclusions, the #experiment design included some features that make it difficult to #generalize from.
For example, they eliminated those homeless with a history of #substance#abuse. That by itself makes the #headline claims a bit suspect, or at least not clearly #supported by evidence.
I've heard one of the benefits of activity pub is that you can take your account and its connections, content, etc, to other servers. They were talking about that today on the Vergecast as one of the selling points for Meta's new Twitter clone Threads - celebrities using the app don't have to worry about Meta shutting Threads...
yeah, what we'd really need is issuing ActivityPub https://docs.joinmastodon.org/spec/activitypub/#supported-activities-for-profiles events for community actors (afaik both Lemmy users and communities are actors on the ActivityPub side, thus communities can be followed / posted to from Mastodon, too). this would allow moving communities between servers to make sure that followers of the old community just carry on following the new community
I guess moving followers of users would behave in a similar way, albeit probably much less critical for the health of communities
Did you choose for Linux for freedom or ...
for gratis or other reasons ?...
