Bad news for #Grindavik. So much closer to town and no topography protecting it from the flow. If lava keeps oozing out the fissure, Grindavik will be engulfed sooner or later.

The activity has declined a lot! Good news for now for #Grindavik. The #lava seems not to be mobile anymore, the #fissure that destroyed 3 houses seems inactive. There are 2 small craters still active in the northern (1st) fissure, but reduced a lot. #eruption #Iceland #uitbarsting #IJsland

#fissure #eruption on #Iceland develops very similar to previous ones: some of the smaller fissures are drowned by the lava and show as eruption points (at the right), only some parts still show as a prominent fissure. #ijsland #vulkaan ##uitbarsting (10/n)
