Bad news for #Grindavik. So much closer to town and no topography protecting it from the flow. If lava keeps oozing out the fissure, Grindavik will be engulfed sooner or later.

The activity has declined a lot! Good news for now for #Grindavik. The #lava seems not to be mobile anymore, the #fissure that destroyed 3 houses seems inactive. There are 2 small craters still active in the northern (1st) fissure, but reduced a lot. #eruption#Iceland#uitbarsting#IJsland
As you can see: just as the previous fissure #eruptions no ash is being produced. No big problem for aviation at the moment. Only thing: #Rekjanesbraut is closed, so hard to reach the airport.. #Iceland#ijsland (9/n)
