Dieser Staat missbraucht die Macht, die wir ihm gegeben haben, so massiv, dass die Mächtigen inzwischen ganz schön Angst vor uns bekommen haben.

These are applications for arrest warrants not arrest warrants.

The idea behind a Palestinian state is based on nationalism. It will not bring peace. If peace is the foreign policy goal, this test will fail badly.

It will only show, that again inappropriate and outdated measures were carried out. The old solutions, which didn't even work here.
We tried to take the next step with the EU and are still pulled back by selfish nationalism constantly.

Single nation states! This is not a collective EU decision.

It sounds plausible but reveals a bad attitude.

If you do not contribute, because you impose conditions before contributing, you are not a contributor.

Only contributors can set conditions!
#OpenSource developers do not need to care about people, who do not contribute to their software.
(It is irrelevant, how many people are actually using it.)

Even a bug report or feature request is a contribution.
But imposing conditions is not!

Nobody needs your advice.

rustfmt formatting is completely outdated. It comes from a time, when people were proud to write the most compact code nobody can read and understand except themselves. White, cis, neurotypical males with a economically stable background.

We do not write code for machines anymore. We write code for diverse humans to read.

No, it is all crammed like we do not have mouse wheels nowadays.
I can't see any structure in the code itself. Just endless cryptic character sequences, where I do not see any starts or endings.
I need to read and read and read and read instead of just seeing the structure.

And that is not subjective, too?

There was someone trying to "help". So I tried to explain, why it wasn't that easy, because otherwise I would have done it myself a month ago. The reply was: "Why the wall of text?"
Clearly not interested in actually doing some work.

I looked through, how this person talked to other projects, after they accepted the help. And the relationship changed quickly to straight out threatening to drop and remove all contributions.

Patronizing is not helpful for any project.

I can understand it.
I do not need to care about other peoples opinions, because I wrote it and not them. If they could do it, they would do it.

Clippy is really helpful. I use it regularly, but fix the findings manually. (To imprint it into my workflow.)
There is even the possibility to use it inside your IDE in addition to the LSP server.

This was just meant as an example from the history of programming, to explain where all this stuff originates from.

Es gibt keinen Zwang, für sich das Maximum herauszuschlagen.

Dieses Kackverhalten hat dafür gesorgt, dass an meiner Uni nichts mehr kostenlos ausgedruckt werden konnte, weil manche da stapelweise Bücher ausgedruckt haben und dann noch die Bibliotheksmitarbeiter beschimpft wurden, weil sie nicht schnell genug Papier nachgelegt haben.

Tja, ab da musste man immer passend Geld mithaben. Auch noch am Monatsende. Als Student*in.

Könnte ich voll zustimmen. Aber die Aussage ist etwas unspezifisch. Deswegen können eigentlich auch die von Dir Angesprochenen das nicht auf sich sondern auf Andere beziehen.

Das Blöde an der Arroganz ist, dass man sie an sich selbst nur sehr schwer mitbekommt.
Ich versuche mich damit sehr stark auseinanderzusetzen, bemerke dadurch aber auch, wie viel Arroganz noch in mir ist.

Auf dem #37c3 Kongress hatte ich neben einer Person gesessen, die durch ihr ganzes Äußeres quasi "Diversity" auf der Stirn geschrieben hatte.

Das Gespräch war aber nach zehn Sekunden beendet und wurde durch eine unangenehme Stille ersetzt. Eines von nur zwei Gesprächen, die nicht gut verlaufen sind.

Ein paar Tage später ist mir aufgefallen warum. Die Antwort auf eine Frage war praktisch: "Was willst Du überhaupt? Ich sehe gar kein Problem."

Und damit war das Gespräch vorbei.

Wenn Dir der Passivrauch zu schädlich ist, trage doch eine FFP2-Maske. Ist sowieso angeraten, wenn Du in einen Bahnhof gehst.

Und draußen (davor) spielt Passivrauch sowieso so gut wie gar keine Rolle. Deswegen steht im Gesetz ja "unmittelbare Nähe" und nicht "kann man riechen".

Es geht mir übrigens auch auf den Sack, wenn Leute irgendwo rumstehen und rauchen. Und Maske tragen ist natürlich keine Lösung gegen schlechtes Benehmen, obwohl es hervorragend funktioniert.

Aber das Problem ist nicht so groß, dass die Polizei da hineingezogen werden müsste.
