No type equalities. For any fixed a, given c :: a -> f a and si :: (forall f r. Functor f => a -> f r -> f (a -> r) provide a runtime value (a Bool) that is True is a is isomorphic to Void and False otherwise.

Hey, experts. Is there is simple way to Boost a Kbin/Lemmy post I like onto my ?

I know I can look up the / poster on my Mastodon instance and boost from their timeline.

But, that's a bit difficult, I have to translate the KBin/Lemmy user URL into a remote Mastodon user URL, and then I have to manually match up the KBin post URL with the contents of a toot in the timeline.

My director is looking for "a good haskeller that is looking for work". Let me know if that is you, and introduce yourself to me so I can tell my director I know you.

I'll gladly help you skill up on our stack by answering questions so that I have another person working on the backlog.

Anyone know if the images (e.g.: https://hub.docker.com/layers/fpco/stack-build/lts-22/images/sha256-09dcc6cf3739dbb5f73bbb84dc15ee815f463409653c5159673afc7d3b4134b7?context=explore) are still maintained, and what might be the best way to report a bug? :blobfoxconfused:

The LTS_SLUG seems wrong, and when I attempt a stack build in that image, I run out of space compiling GHC. (e.g.: https://gitlab.com/bss03/restman/-/jobs/6622698704) :blobfoxsurprised:

I expect the docker image would contain a GHC that stack would find and use; I am using the matching resolver for the tag (e.g.: 22.17). :blobfoxhappy:

Anyone in my (or other, I guess) circles in charge of www.cs.nott.ac.uk ? It was working yesterday, but it keeps timing out (for me) today.

I need to re-read the section of blampied-thesis.pdf on the prefix functor, and especially how it works when the non-uniform type is self-nested in interesting ways.

Trying to do a "project :: t -> f t" and keep getting hung up on the Scope-modified recursions.

Alternatively, is that thesis available elsewhere? I searched, but haven't found.

Feeling good about my attempts today. 100 squats, 37/37/26 situps, and 21/21/21 pushups done so far.

Definitely moving up to 38 reps/set on the situps tomorrow. The 2nd 37 was hard but I think I maintained my form and I definitely didn't have to pause for breath.

I think I'll be able to move up to 22 reps/set on the pushups, too. The 21st is hard, but not so much that I stop concentrating on my form, and correcting small mistakes.

Is this a defeat because the time is so bad, a victory because I got to the gym on a weekday, or a self-immolation because I'm now hungry enough that I will be eating junk on the way home.

> none of the modifying functors are the same as the type being defined, that is, we do not consider non-linear non-uniform recursion

Oh, fiddlesticks. I've been trying to use this paper for non-linear recursion. I think I might have to invent/discover instead of just mimic. I'm not as good at that! :P

Please send me your best references for non-linear non-uniform recursion since Blampied2000. Bonus points for code, but categorical abstract nonsense is fine, too.

I'm glad I'm seeing more on my main Mastodon feed. I'm a bit sad it's "all" podcasts and videos. I greatly prefer text (with selective images / animations): easier to consume at my speed or non-linearly and easier to quote in discussion here or on Lemmy/KBin.

Thanks for all the great content, tho!

I wish I had the discipline to finish my Haskell-like.

Okay, I got tired of waiting for Nivenly to provide a Lemmy/KBin instance so I've joined infosec.pub.

Can anyone recommend some great communities? On the R-site, I spent a lot of time on /r/Haskell (got most of my karma here) and /r/HaskellQuestions but also used it as a bit of a news feed, and connected with the modded Minecraft community (e.g. /r/FeedTheBeast), /r/LinuxGaming, /r/StardewValley as well as my corner of US politics (e.g. /r/SandersForArkansas).

I've previously shared links, but they may have only worked for existing Tidal customers.

Now, Tidal has a "Share" feature, so I hope you can enjoy my most-listened for March 2024: https://tidal.com/browse/mix/00874412d6d13a53669a970042de13

According to my bathroom scale, I gained 6 lbs. yesterday.

Part of me wants to see how many days I can do that in a row.

Okay, good start on my so far today. 100 squats, 30+30 situps, 20+20+20 pushups. My right shoulder is emitting pain, but I really think I need to do at least one more set of both situps and pushups, to show progress.

I may not be at 100/100/100/10k yet, but I know my most difficult days are far ahead of me, tho.

Hey, , what's the more conservative extension to the report?

I think I can do what I want either way, but I don't really know how to do it in Haskell2010 with no extensions. (I have a non-parameteric type function/family in my semantics, and don't want to give up totality.)

100 squats and 34 situps done.

Skipping pushups again today. Pain has reduced to a few motions, and many stresses, and I'm hoping that keeping it on normal activity but no exercise will let me bring them back tomorrow.

Did try a one-arm pushup, and it was not possible, especially on my weak (uninjured) arm.

Busy and tiring evening, I just now got my 100 squats done. Shoulder still aches with many motions, and most stress, so I'm going to skip the pushups (maybe I'll see how many one-handed pushups I can do?). I don't think I'll get the situps done either, but I should at least try.

Anyone know of an interactive "lambda calculus" expression evaluation site? Or something in that UX neighborhood that I should use for inspiration?

I know I used to answer a lot of questions just by stepping though evaluation. I thought it would be nice to have that on a website and I have a basic expression parser and visualizer in running on my website ("production" is a buggy version, tho) but need to design interactive stepping.

Ouch. Situps are really hurting my tailbone. Tried two different pillows, and while they are an improvement over the carpeted floor, they still don't reduce it enough.
