Just watched Wayne's World and my Q I forgot how good that movie is. It's also connected to so many childhood memories of making skate videos with my friends.
I just wish I didn't have work in the morning so I could watch Wayne's World 2.
Hard to believe its been 4 years since we were headed into the hospital, in the height of the COVID lockdown, with snow on the ground because Ohio gotta Ohio... And yet here were are.

Barkley : it's not a problem admiral we just just need to power it with 1.28 gigawatts
Janeway: great Scott! I can't believe the power requirements for time travel are so low. Just plug it into the warp core, I can run this off a shuttle.
It's only taken 5 months but I finally finished my first sewing project in this year's theme.
My fist attempt to fit distressed sci-fi into work wear is what I call Skywalker chic. It's made from a viscose cotton blend (and a black linen waist band) and so is breathable and the pleats allow a more comfortable air barrier while also evoking jedi robes.
Design for the sands of Tatooine and the poorly climate controlled office.
When enjoying a movie marathon it is important to take breaks and go for a walk in the fresh air. And while you are out there takes some pictures for #bloomscrolling
The blossom from the trees may have passed but the daisies and buttercups are colouring every grass verge
Well if this isn't the most depressingly dystopian this I've read in a long time.
Tldr: to fill gaps in your skill base don't hire new people get the people that work there already to do it. There's talk of "up skilling" and training but not of extra compensation for extra work or paying people in line with their new skills. There is however talk of "AI" for some reason.
In my house, there is a door in the kitchen that goes to the basement stairs. We put a cat door in it, and a fancy one at that. It has switches so that you can control which directions the cats can move. We needed this because our 3-year-old cat Janet wants to play, and 8-year-old Phoebe does not, so Janet ends up in time out to give Phoebe a break. It took Janet MONTHS to figure out the door as a concept. This week she figured out the switches and time-out is no more.
So it turns out that most everyone that works on my contract is in their 20's. Occasionally a song will come on the radio that they consider old and they all start talking about how they used to listen to it as children.
Then they try to engage me in their conversation and I feel ancient.
