@DrALJONES His family's pain must be terrible, & I hope they can be sheltered from media vultures. It's beyond tragic that he left us & died so horribly, but he knew the value of making that statement to the world.
There’s always a chance
it’ll turn out I was wrong
and in that case
I will have wasted money
on masks and test-kits,
I will have missed out
on social events and travel,
I might even feel foolish,
and that’s fine
I can live with being wrong
but first
I have to live through this.
@plaguepoems I value immune compromised & disabled lives. I appreciate the protection a mask gives me & I'm not ready to surrender to a self-imposed "back to normal". Credit: Angela larsen/// Lovesomedove
#UNICEF / 17,000 children in Gaza were unaccompanied or have been separated from their families, nearly all children thought to require mental health support
"Before this war, UNICEF was considering already that 500,000 children were already in need of mental health and psychosocial support in Gaza. Today, we estimate that almost all children are in need of that support, and that's more than 1 million children."
@melissabeartrix When ppl ask how we can laugh or enjoy ourselves while horrors go on, it's because we have to, to defy the bastards perpetrating them.
This morning news .. USA won't support a ceasefire to stop killing kids .. fence sitting US lapdog UK doesn't vote for fear of upsetting the bigger boys... Meanwhile Arsehole Jenrick links Upcoming Tory failure to migrants... So when they fail he can say told you and can I lead the Conservatives... We are in a shite parallel universe ... Politicians make life worse
@PGBeattie Tories need the dinghy crisis they've created, in order to distract from their corruption & treachery to the people & NHS. The crisis, RNLI's efforts to rescue migrants, needless deaths in the Channel, those of disabled claimants & Covid victims, are all due to their actions.
