    Saw and boosted the post by Molly on cold winters and I will add:

    Plastic around windows really help and then add duct tape or shipping tape to seal. Plus it helps keep the power bill down.

    Rolled towels at front and or back door to seal drafts also keep in heat and again cut down on power bill.

    If temp drops below freezing and you have power, remember to leave a faucet at a drip so pipes don't freeze. Can save you a lot in plumbing repairs.

    @thepoliticalcat We are and thank you. We had tornadoes this week. Just cold rain now. Freezing comes tomorrow. The buck stove gets used every year when the power goes out. Can heat 2 rooms to 90 lol and I can cook on it and heat water and coffee. Glad we kept it but it's a family farm so a lot of memories of that stove 💜

    2024 okay...

    1- Had an absolutely amazing trip right after holiday that was a decade in savings
    2- Went on a ghost tour and still analyzing some pretty interesting pics that I cannot explain
    3- Posts this year will be different though I will read current events and if you haven't noticed, I "vaca" from social media for good mental health on occasion. That being said, found a new "Bee You" Reisling 🍷 and it was good
