    You can sign your git commits with SSH keys. GitHub uses the public key for both showing the "verified" badge, and also allowing pushes. What if I don't want to allow pushes with that key anymore, but don't want to invalidate past signatures?

    @davidism nice questions. You can't do it, I feel.

    Two years ago I invalidated my key, and immediately all old commits were unverified. It wasn't an issue, tbh, since all the old commits were unchanged.

    @adamchainz most probably, there's a typo with the double --onto 1eb4875 command. I don't understand how could it fail unless one of the two is wrong

    Besides that, a cool feature. But what's the difference between two commands?

    'git bisect run' searches your log for the commit that changed the result of a test command. If you get it right, the feeling of watching the search zoom to completion by itself is incredibly satisfying.

    Greetings, fellow users. Have you stopped your distro hopping endeavors?

    @nixCraft I installed 11 years ago, and it was the end of back and forth jumping from to , then to with stop on , with a few cross hops for 3 years.

    Now I'm just happy, and hop from company to company once per 4 years ¯_(ツ)_/¯

    Exciting announcement: @bleeptrack and I will create a 2.0 version of our open-source Git learning game https://ohmygit.org! 🎉

    For the first time, you'll be able to play the game directly in your browser, using a real Git in a tiny Linux VM!

    And for people whose first language isn't English, the game will come with other language versions!

    Besides that, git is my daily tool, and I have a lot of fun by commit --fixup + rebase -i --autosquash

    IMHO it's the best way to keep the repo clean, and almost nobody uses it v_v
