I’m watching dune part 2 again and have a question: Paul and the fremen bury themselves and ambush the mining machine… but how did they know where to hide? They had to bury themselves at least hours ahead of time, right? Is there an explanation that I missed?

I went to see episode I today with my youngest. I hadn’t seen in on the big screen since its original theatrical run. It was nice hearing little kids in the audience laugh at Jar Jar even if it still annoys me. The movie is a mess, and at best a tie for worst Star War, but I still had a good time.

I enjoyed the finale of The Bad Batch quite a bit- the show was pretty spotty overall, but the relationship between Omega & her brothers was nicely developed over the 3 seasons and I liked where it ended. Sadly I really wish these shows didn’t so often feel like they were desperately trying to rationalize dumb storytelling decisions from feature films instead of charting their own paths… also don’t confuse the Disney+ series ‘the bad batch’ with the Keanu reeves film of the same name.

Google never “won” the war against SEO & Bot Spam… it just barely stayed ahead, and only because search quality was a top priority for the company. That isn’t remotely true any more, and the avalanche of AI generated mediocrity has made that obvious… assuming you scrolled past all the ads to find that garbage results.
