Continuing into a second week of sporadic but gradually increasing use of my new Linux laptop and I am just continually shocked by how staggeringly bad the experience is at every level. The new indignity is that the version of Audacity I installed from the snap store cannot play audio. This is not as bad as it could be because oddly in this case I didn't install Audacity to play audio, I installed it to visually inspect audio waveforms, but this is still pretty bad.
@mcc I'm running Linux Mint on a 5 year old touchscreen Asus laptop. I've had absolutely no issues. Haven't seen the pop-up keyboard unless I fold it over into tablet mode. On the other hand, the only time I use the touchscreen is to hit that little x in the upper right corner to rid myself of a popup, so your mileage may vary...
I know I mentioned this earlier, but if you ever have a day when you need some lifting of the spirits, put out a poll about pets, ask for pictures, sit back, and wait. I can't get over all the pics people are replying with.
It’s always interesting to me to see who HASN’T been named in an indictment like the RICO case in Georgia. One of those names belongs to lawyer Lin Wood, who helped spread election fraud lies alongside his pals Sidney Powell, Rudy Giuliani, and Jenna Ellis, who were all named as defendants.
And now, look! In one of Fani Willis’s motions, Lin Wood is listed among the names of the STATE’S witnesses in Georgia. Guess we know who he has been talking to and ratting out.
