I don't want to be all 'we told you so!' but, ffs, what's going to happen when you stop treating the sewage?

It was bound to get into the fresh water supply eventually, and it has, in at least two regions of Brexit bonus Britain, with more to be confirmed presumably.

Pardonnez mon français, mais fuck the Tories, and too!!!

“Unfortunately, through his politics, Keir Starmer has given so many indications that he might not be the best person to lead a transformational government in this country – and that’s what the country needs a transformational government,” said Mr Feinstein. “Not business as usual, not just changing the tie of the guy in the suit at the despatch box from blue to red, but actually changing the fundamental nature of the politics.” 🤞

Oh no! We're gonna give up our sovereignty to the WHO now? And after we just got it back, finally, from the EU! 😅

Fascistic grifters are gonna grift but the government really needs to start regulating harmful disinformation. It won't happen under Sunak's 'government' though, and I have little faith that Starmer would have the fortitude to address the problem either, especially if it would impact the Zionists...

Is it Keir? Is it really that time? I could be mistaken but didn't this fraud spout some bollocks about unity and broad churches before? It was right before he started purging socialists from Labour, if memory serves...

@DigitalTaoist labour is for everyone.....

everyone who condones war crimes and genocide, likes politicians to lie, supports austerity and wants NHS budgets diverted to private companies

If ends division in the UK, the same way he promoted unity in the labour party by expelling people, the UK will be a much emptier place

What a tool

Well that IS amusing - and I can't say I'm surprised in the least. For Rwanda it's a win:win, get lots of cash and then announce that the Rwandan govt has too much respect for human rights to host the UK's asylum seekers...

The Tories will, at that point, be huffing and puffing and vociferously demanding 'their' money be returned post-haste - but it will have been spent... 😂

Seems like Sunak wants to pass the responsibility to councils to enforce his ridiculous anti-smoking ideas. So they first will need to issue enough fines to pay the salaries of the new officers-required to enforce this mess. Then it will simply send the vape market underground and make it more dangerous.

What was needed was ban on marketing to children and vapes loaded with sugar, as well as requiring retailers to recycle.

Sunak thinks he's being 'clever' 🙄

"The government has also committed to ban the sale and supply of disposable vapes from April 2025 under separate environmental legislation."

Why wait?

If there was a genuine safety or security threat from Chinese EV batteries, and not merely Republicans apparently point-scoring with the xenophobic base, then there might be a point to restricting EV consumption from China.

I don't see how the battery technology alone would pose a security threat though (arguably not nearly as great a one as having cheap security cameras all over the place anyway).

Show up late to the game and demand a level playing field much?

I wonder how many letters have gone in so far to the 1922 Committee? Graham Brady, among other Tory 'notables', make some noise about the plot to oust Sunak being 'madness', but I bet at least Mordaunt is secretly celebrating.

She only needs 15% of the parliamentary party to submit letters...

Chances of Sunak surviving a confidence vote, anyone?

Does Tasmania,or indeed the world, really need Willy Wonka-Chocolate Factory in Tasmania? Is this guy a complete ****ing cretin or are there mitigating factors?

Arguing against, personally, it seems to me like chocolate is already responsible for deforestation and people need to fly less frequently if we're intending to stop global heating; I hope very much that Tasmanian Trump loses the upcoming election.

One has to wonder what the Tories genuinely believed Brexit would bring(?) Clearly they knew it wasn't going to be the great cake-fest they were promising everyone (fishermen, farmers, fans of the NHS), yet did they have any inkling of just how bad it would be?

John Crace is on fine form here:

Brexit meant the super rich would have less tax risk for their off shore hoards. That is all that ever mattered to the Tories.

Some kippers probably believed in the fantasy but for the Tories it was a cynical calculated sinking of the UK to save the rich tax and make a load of hedge fund cash shorting their own country.

I've got to react to this because it's just despicable. Why would anyone ever try to argue that Musk is a force for good? Presumably Putin pressured him into it but still...

Here's my explainer (uh in case anyone's interested 😅 ). UK government are making up a registration scheme which will be particularly (I'd love to be wrong) user-friendly for their mates with multiple properties-which they regularly let for small fortunes on Airbnb. Or is it their hotelier mates they prefer, they can hardly win these poor-wealthy Tory bar stewards!

Starmer and 'his' Labour front bench now speaking out against Israel's in Gaza? It must have finally dawned on them that they still need the left in order to actually win an election... because some special threshold has been reached or because Starmer's own seat is under threat from Andrew Feinstein?
