Today's lecture involves depictions of queerness as threat I'm media....so I tried to express "not queer as in gay, but queer as in a threat" today š
@JoscelynTransient so happy for them to not know it, but still bitter that it and the jerry springer show were our references for trans women in media.
Since starting transition Iāve been way more dedicated to building a body that I am proud of and Iām super excited that as of today I beat my longest move ring streak ever with 61 days of continuous exercise. This morning I weighed in at 182lbs, which is 27lbs down from my all time high in May of 2021. I have my dysphoria days but goddammit I am proud of how I look now šŖ
@schwa unironically: thank you for this troll, it looks like my āYorkā thermostat is just a rebrand of that Honeywell unit, and the previous owner did not leave a manual.
@Terra@lisamelton yes. The biggest villain in this season of my life has been past me, who was just trying to save me from imagined threats that are nothing compared to the actual problems she has now created.
@Terra Iām glad youāre starting to be able to find yourself again!
Iām having trouble escaping the guarded persona even here because there are people and connections Iāve made over the last 20 years that Iād feel embarrassed if they ever saw the unguarded me. I feel like I always need to keep my professional āwork maskā on in case I need to lean in these connections to find work in the future, so everything I post here gets filtered.
@Terra back on the the dead bird site I had separate accounts for the real me vs. tech/everything else. I had the bright idea of moving both sets of follows to a single unified account when I migrated over here, since I had just come out publicly. I now think that was a mistake. I should have kept public/private life separate.
@krzyzanowskim oh, I like that it folds up, that would be convenient for travel. I bought this one a few months ago for home use and itās been pretty great so far.
@marcoarment just listened to ATP 545: I bought the eufyCam 2C system about a year ago, and itās working pretty well for me. It had itās own base station that acts as a home hub for recording, so no monthly sub required. Iāve got 4 wireless cameras set up around that house that only need to be charged every 6 months or so. It has its own app, but does integrate with HomeKit. Biggest downside I think is max 4 cams per hub, so if you wanted to use 6 cams you need 2 hubs.
@agiletortoise I have the cameras in HomeKit so the rest of my family can view them whenever they want, but I use the eufy app for motion detection and notifications because the documentation said homekitās detection used more power.
For previous WWDC @ home weeks, I would wear my Apple shirts from years past. But they are all 2x unisex (menās cut). I tried one this morning but it looks too much like boymoding. Going with a newer ATP shirt instead. I wish I could buy fem cut Apple branded shirts without the 2000 mile flight.
