In all the years I have known YouTube, I have never taken any notice of one of your insufferable interruptions. I couldn't tell you the name of any brand or product that advertised there and couldn't care less about anything other than the quickest way to skip your ad. Of all the platforms, it is the one that generates the least interest in anything it promotes. At best, your efforts have made me watch YouTube less than ever, but I still don't know who you are and I don't give a fuck about your product
@Ex_spurt I remember exactly one advertiser from YT. It's Liberty Mutual Insurance and because I remember them, I know to never use them. Thanks, Liberty!
If you want to know what scares the fossil fuel companies most look at what the bot armies attack most on social media.
Sustainable superannuation funds are getting smashed with negative comments, which is hilarious when you consider all the proud patriot bogans that these bots purport to be wouldn't give a toss about super or investment funds.
Things like Woodside ads are completely criticism free of course 🤔
I have very few opinions on Threads but I have heard it is where politicians and brands and journalists who think Mastodon is too complicated hang out and tbh their absence is a big part of what makes my experience here a positive one
What's the deal with Startrack and Austpost? Is Startrack like just the shitty cheap bit? I don't get sms or email advice of ST delivery and have to go to the airport to pick up if I miss it. Not using this supplier again if that's the best they can do
@liamvhogan@trib@Ex_spurt wrestling with soft bags in the bush is part of the attraction of going camping. It’s a bit more difficult when there’s kids around, but still doable
You would have to be three kinds of stupid at once to call a planned anti-war protest on Armistice Day 'disrespectful'. They didn't call it Rememberance Day because they didn't want people forgetting how much fun it was. Ignoring the victims of war is the ultimate disrespect to those who told you not to.
@Ex_spurt It has become a tribal ritual. A newscaster or a politician wasn't wearing the fake flower in the Season of Fake Flowers? Sack him! Politicians have an excuse to look smug and pious for the telly. And the worst thing for any follower of ritual is to be reminded of what the ritual actually represents.
