I think CWs are a great tool. I like that I can give people a heads up about some stuff.
But If you feel compelled to complain to someone else about their lack of CWs, you should probably devote that energy into setting up your own damn filters instead
Yeah, I say “guys” a lot and I’m making an effort to go back to y’all, which I had previous exiled from my vocab to not sound like a country bumpkin. 🤠
But then I saw a post that said something along the lines of like “whenever a man tells you that “guys” is gender neutral, see how they respond when you ask how many guys they’ve fucked”

Sometimes #mastodon is like the watched pot that never boils. I refresh and refresh and a trickle of posts. But when I put the phone down for a few minutes, I come back to a gazillion unread🫨
I doubly hate them when I correct them to the versions used in English (and most other languages), ≤ ≥, and the client changes them back to the Japanese version, no doubt thinking to themselves that the editor fucked it up because they don’t understand basic math symbols.
