A neighbor of a family member, years ago, complained that their tree never bloomed.

Turns out they didn't like the fruit the tree dropped and they sprayed it to stop "dropping the fruit"....

Never once connecting the concept that the tree blooms to result in fruit.

I'll never know why people feel they have to spend big bucks for a wedding. Have something small, maybe a small party at home after a simple ceremony and save that $ for your first year's expenses. We got married for fairly small $ compared to some I both attended and knew about - of that time period. >25 years ago.

After all this time - I think it was unnecessary.

I am stunned by what nieces & nephews spent in the last 2 decades. AND... several of those marriages didn't even make the 5 year anniversary. Such a waste.

I just had to explain to our "technical" "Product Owner"
The difference between a Database Server and Database.

Now maybe im being to picky here. but shouldn't someone in charge of a product that is built around databases understand the basic functionality of Database Servers?

A director of technology for clients was at an office I was responsible for.

He came to see me because he couldn't get connected to LAN.

I walked over to find he had the wrong cable plugged into wall and NIC.

It should go without saying... but it has to be said!

If you had any packages going out or coming in - using FedEx... in Kalamazoo County (specifically their facility on Portage Road)

There's going to be some delays.

Give those folks a break people. It's not like they ordered up a tornado.

Do you get concerned whenever produce gets recalled over an E. coli risk? Vote Republican. They'll remove those pesky safety regulations so you can walk into the grocery store confident that everything is contaminated with E. coli.

Watching some of the after-tornado news videos...

Reporter standing in front of a business sign (that is out of view and above her head) - notes that she is near the "Su NOC o" station.

You might know it as the gas station known back in the day for would sell 100 octane racing gas... normally pronounced as: Sun O co

As someone that learned by "sounding it out"... I get it... but this one, had me wondering until the camera panned up.

People don't know things... until they know things.

One thing I've learned from watching the after-tornado videos...?

That... OSB as a building material is a very poor choice.

Fast built strip malls are just destroyed - and the likely result? The material creates the initial debris balls that then become missiles as the storm moves further.

Watching the live local on the street views is hard...

The views of damaged businesses is hard to recognize where they are.
