Don’t crop out the artist.

This was clearly made by Herta Burbė, by the way.

Russians think that they can bargain with a fascist regime. Just like during the Ribbentrop-Molotov pact.

I agree. But I also think that he’s a loose cannon who will explode in their faces eventually.

To be honest, USSR, for which tankies simp so much, purged the Jews, the Poles, the Armenians, the Uzbeks and pretty much anyone who wasn’t either Georgian or Russian from their government. So in a weird way, communists were fascist too.

A moon-sized pizza to feed the Devourer of Worlds and save the Earth that way.

To me the real problem with political games is that a political game, to be enjoyable, has to be more good than political.

Disco Elysium is extremely political. It is also a very well written game. So I enjoyed playing it.

AAA studios tend to make a game with an LGBT character or a minority character and when people don’t like it, they blame representation. While people are actually mad at a game being a bad game.

Justas,
@Justas@sh.itjust.works avatar

They don’t have to justify their existence. But they are often just poorly done characters whose race, orientation or ethnicity is their entire personality.

Justas,
@Justas@sh.itjust.works avatar

Maybe they think I’m doing a dog whistle of some sort.

Maybe they are mad because I didn’t name AAA games which do that, I found it difficult to name examples because I haven’t played any recently.

Justas,
@Justas@sh.itjust.works avatar

Yes.

Justas,

I have complained about buggy games. I have complained about badly written games. I have never bought an AAA game at full price, because they are extremely expensive. And quite frankly, most of those games cater to a demographic I am no longer a part of, because I am getting too old to fit into.

Yep, nobody can bribe a person who’s struggling financially.

Not to mention that the less people think their votes are worth, the more every individual vote is actually mean.

If you have two elections, one with a 40% turnout and one with an 80% turnout, in the one where 40% of people voted, each voter was as important as two voters in the 80% one.

Justas,
@Justas@sh.itjust.works avatar

I mean the fewer people vote, the more power those who do vote end up having.

Your country’s youth didn’t vote? Enjoy the regressive concervatives that the old people elected taking away minority rights, reproductive rights, LGBT rights.

Justas,
@Justas@sh.itjust.works avatar

I mean the ones who vote choose who makes decisions and passes laws.

Justas,
@Justas@sh.itjust.works avatar

Yep, this is the real reason why France threatened Russia with boots on the ground in Ukraine.

Justas,

They focused too much on interpersonal drama

The tone of the show was too dark for Stargate franchise

Nothing that happened in the show had much importance to the Universe as a whole

No overarching enemies of interest

The really bad one imo was when Eli and gang got stuck off world due to the mine collapse.

Especially after how great the “Stuck in a hole” episode in SG:Atlantis was.

My parents would play fairy tales for us. On vinyl.

I was born a bit after it collapsed, but I grew up in it’s ruins. The people who talk about it will give you this picture:

Everybody stole, but friends shared. You can go to a store and find empty shelves, but go through people’s houses and most people have most things.

Money was largely meaningless. Don’t try to have a 100 roubles, try having a 100 friends instead. The friend from a dairy factory will give you sour cream, the friend from a store will give you best meat and canned goods from underneath the table, stuff not really available to the regular customers. The friend from the shoe supplies will give you a pair of shoes that last years.

Corruption was a way of life. To the older people, it still is.

I remember a guy who took some, locked his door and threw the keys out of a window who posted there.

Thank you for your amazing answer! This explains my concerns exactly.

Čeburaška was a character from a Soviet cartoon series, many of those soldiers grew up watching those.
