They’re definitely talking about the Mannequin movies though only the first one came out in the 80s, with Mannequin 2: On the Move being released in 1991 (though I think it was actually more 80s than the one that released in the 80s, if that makes sense). I think the sequel is the one with the hot air balloon sequence at the end, though maybe they both had hot air balloons?

I might sound like an idiot but what is the thing in the center of the photo used in this article? At first I thought it was someone in a black robe and black veil making their case to the council which upon closer inspection can’t be true, then looking closer it looks like a filled trash bag in the middle of the council which makes even less sense.

What am I looking at here?

Why are Denis Villeneuve's Dune movies loved by audience and critics?

When watching movies, I always try to differentiate between my personal enjoyment and the inherent merits of the movies. There are a lot of bad movies, which I totally and thoroughly enjoy watching, and some really great movies, which I don’t enjoy that much, but still can respect/appreciate....

Just a clarification, Trigun Stampede is not a prequel but is an alternate universe re-imagining of the original.

When the producers approached the creator about doing something very different from the source material, the creator mentioned that the first anime adaptation was “really excellent”, and that “anything beyond the original anime is more of a bonus time, so you could pretty much do whatever you want to with it.” They liked the idea of how, for example, there are different versions of Spider-Man in the Spider-Verse (so that the 90s Spider-Man show, Ultimate Spider-Man, etc., would all be very different from each other). This is them doing that for Vash and company.

It’s very different in a lot of ways, you can think of it as an alternate universe from the original. I would strongly recommend first time viewers watch the original anime in its entirety first and then check out Stampede if they’re itching for more of that world in a very different flavor.

Yes! I remember the first one because I got super interested in translating that cool napkin from that Finland place you had in the photo. Glad to see you went for it with the homemade ketchup and brioche bun!

Also good to see you kept the kitchen demon with the red eyes (above the top right of the burger) from last time, I feel like it’s part of your signature now.

I used Google Play Music for purchases/online music locker and loved it. I eventually became that idiot that never downloaded all their purchases before the switch to Youtube Music happened.

Now I can’t even open Youtube Music because it loads up my GPM library and rubs in my face that I essentially paid to have a bunch of music pre-listed for streaming that now has unskippable ads that I can’t listen to unless I leave my screen on and unlocked.

I was too broke and slammed to get a new external drive in order to get all my music downloaded and saved from GPM at the time of the switch, but I look back on it and think about how I could’ve skipped meals and stuff to have gotten something with just enough space to save that music.

I just did it and it worked! It’s definitely a jumble of music files but it’s all there, every last bit. Thank you, thank you so much. This has been weighing on my mind for so long, there are so many songs I can put back on my offline playlists now that I have them again. You’re the best!

Warner Bros. has officially confirmed that Will Friedle and Matt Ryan will be reprising their roles as Terry McGinnis and John Constantine in "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part Two"! (dcanimated.com)

Aside from the returning voice cast, the star-studded ensemble voice cast includes Jonathan Adams as Monitor, Gideon Adlon as Batgirl, Geoffrey Arend as Psycho Pirate/Charles Halstead & Hawkman, Troy Baker as Joker, Zach Callison as Robin, Darin De Paul as Solovar, Ato Essandoh as Mr. Terrific & Anti-Monitor, Keith Ferguson as...

I haven’t been super interested in the DC animated movies since the big reboot after JLD: Apokolips War in 2020 but this is very compelling news.

Matt Ryan’s passion for playing John as much as possible has always delivered and I don’t think I can turn down a chance for more Terry. I only wish I could hear Kevin Conroy yell “McGinnis!” one more time.

Doreen Green aka Squirrel Girl. I love a lot of comics but I seriously looked forward to every single issue of The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl (2015-2019). Ryan North and Erica Henderson became one of my favorite creative teams for making something that is so hilariously clever at times and just absolute fun all the time.

The North/Henderson team also did the graphic novel The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Beats Up the Marvel Universe.

At one of the lowest points of my life when i was locked into contract and couldn’t make changes that would better my situation, the lottery was my anti-suicide failsafe. If there was a chance, no matter how small, that life could get better, I had to keep going.

I knew the odds and it wasn’t about winning, just that twice a month I’d buy something that meant I had to keep going because statistically it gave me a chance to change my situation.

However, getting a false win at that time would have absolutely destroyed me.

I was able to find that this is part of the 2020 Spider-Man and Venom: Double Trouble series but couldn’t find anything about a Doreen Green appearance happening in it. Does anyone know if The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl shows up to help during this plot line?

I really liked that She-Hulk did something different while bringing a lot of what I loved about the comics to the MCU. It’s awesome to see someone else that was a fan of that office building run! All those comics (I think it was the All-New, All-Different Marvel run and the event just before that) were so much fun. They were the perfect counter balance to the grittier comics I was picking up at the time.

The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl was my favorite with Ryan North and Erica Henderson becoming one of my favorite writer/artist teams for clever comedic chemistry, and I did enjoy the Ms. Marvel, Miles Morales and Nova stuff, but there was just something so charming about everyone in the office suites that always sticks out to me.

She-Hulk and Howard the Duck, you get some Jessica Jones in there, and I absolutely loved the Patsy Walker aka Hellcat series. It was like the Office Avengers. The plot line of Patsy trying to get the rights back to the old Patsy Walker comics was hilarious. Ah those were good times, thanks for the memories!

I’d love to see Howard come to Earth for a bit if there is a She-Hulk Season 2, but if not I am still happy Howard got more lines in GotG Vol. 3. That What If…? episode was fun too, it seems like Seth Green has a lot of fun voicing the character.

I’d definitely watch a Squirrel Girl animated series! Milana Vayntrub (the AT&T lady) voiced the character in the Marvel Rising animated stuff and did a great job. It was enjoyable, though definitely for younger audiences. It’d be great to see that pushed a little further with a TV-14 rating or how the original Teen Titans show pushed the TV-Y7 rating to hit on some darker themes and not shy away from Raven’s story.
