Today, I finished my first play of #Portal.

This is the first PC game I have played to it's conclusion.

I'm bizarrely proud of myself for finishing it.

I will clearly be playing #Portal2 next. But do any of you have any recommendations for what I should play after that?

I enjoyed the puzzle aspect of Portal, and was terrified by the sounds.
I would rather not have to shoot people.

P.s. I've never played Portal2 before so no clues/spoilers please as I'd like to work things out myself.

Today my brain is clearly conspiring against me.

I have a hard deadline tomorrow.

TOMORROW!

You'd think this would be close enough for the panic to set in and the focus to see me through, but no. I cannot concentrate on the work.

I am seriously wondering if this is going to be the one that doesn't happen. Which would be a bastard because this assignment is essential to pass the module.

Ok, so as to not clog up the timeline with moaning, I'll update unlisted on this thread how I'm doing for those who are interested.

This morning I feel worse, so cold, achey, chest tighter, and coughing all the time

Hopefully this is the worst of it now as I'm struggling.

My partner seems to be much better today though, and Tiny Dog is snuggling up like a wee hot water bottle.

I'm looking for #crochet help
I've attempted to make a Minecraft bee to give to a friend but the face looks wrong. Because of the way the stitches are, it just doesn't look properly straight at the edges of the eyes and the blue has ended up in the wrong place.

Does anyone have any tips on how I can do it and get it to look good?

Thanks to @devxvda posting about them, I picked up some Loops earplugs recently (with a discount from their link!) and they've been a godsend! Trying to concentrate with the windows open has always been a challenge for me (hello #ADHD ) and in summer this normally means I'm either too warm or it's too noisy to concentrate.
This last week I've been able to pop in the loops, open the windows and just get on with stuff without those distractions.

It's been brilliant!

My husband has gone away with his mates this weekend.

You know there's always at least one lad in a group of white cis men who's the total dickhead?

Well Tiny Dog took an instant dislike to him & barked at him, giving him a warning snap as he tried to stroke her. I have to say, I was delighted as it totally justified my thoughts on the lad.

I know she could've been picking up on my feelings, but also he was very cocky in the way he approached her to try to stroke her.

Such a good dog!

So I was interviewed for a podcast a couple of weeks ago, it was released today.

I only have a Spotify link, but I'm told you can access it through the usual podcast places.

It was connected to Mark Watson's Decade Project, where people are encouraged to set goals and work towards them.

We talk about all sorts, from #study to #Fibromyalgia and how I view the world. I got some stuff a bit muddled, but it seems to have been generally well received

I watched Die Hard for the first time today.

My thoughts:

• There is only one likeable character in the whole film.

• Alan Rickman really was excellent at playing sinister.

• Now I've seen it, I never have to watch it again.

• I simply do not care about its Christmas status.

First thing I did when I woke up this morning is check my uni results again, just in case I'd imagined it.

I didn't! I did do very well!

I'm aware that some people will think I'm just boasting, but I am genuinely amazed at how well I've done. This is my 3rd attempt at a degree and it's so incredibly validating to know that I do have the ability, it's just previously I didn't know I had #adhd I'm starting to believe that I might actually get this finished this time!

The relief is immense
