@RL_Dane@theavidhorizon The nice thing about Deno is that you can basically do that, install from a URL, without giving the script permission to take over your computer.
It'd be a complicated shell incantation, but there will be a way to install Tapir directly from URL while only giving it network permissions and read/write to one folder.
I mean, the various builds are just different color schemes 😂, but I also gave some patches built in to my builds for changing font sizes and the like.

Like, if you drew a dot in three dimensional space that represented the midpoint between your ears, and plotted it on a 3d projection of your brain, where would it be? How close to the brain's center of mass?
That's fascinating, and it makes sense that a system of neurons so large would have low-level "thinking" powers, as it is similar to the nervous systems of simpler animals lacking an actual brain.

As with anything else, greater discoverability is a two-edged sword.
If you can opt out of having your profile searched, or your toots searched without having to make your toots/profile more restricted/private than they are today, I'd call it well-implemented and won't worry about it.
Got tired of Konsole starting up in odd sizes, so I made an alias:
