We are so thrilled and grateful to everyone who nominated us - all our volunteers do this out of a desire to help and passion for sharing skills and using what they know, so to have them celebrated is truly wonderful.

We've counted up all your donations from May and it totalled a huge £129.50!

This month we're putting your donations towards some bike repair items (to make life easier for poor Ben!), a Dremel tool, consumables, and of course to pay for next month's parking (fingers crossed the councillor we're talking to changes that soon 🤞🏽).

We're working on a child's bake which has unreliable brakes, a cassette player, a vacuum cleaner, a hedge trimmer, a bag, and a laptop at the moment.

We've had lots of clocks come in so Kevin is very busy!

Did you know we spend at least £20 a month on parking for our volunteers?
This is covered by your generous donations but we'd love for Barry Town Council to waive the parking fee for the amazing people who generously donate their time and expertise to their community on the first Saturday of every month, so we can put that £20 or more towards more PAT test training, consumables and other essentials to ensure we can help as many people as possible.

Our team of volunteers will be at Barry library from 10am until 1pm on Saturday 6th April, armed with tools and a huge variety of expertise.

The next #Barry repair cafe is on 🗓️ Saturday 2nd March from 10am until 1pm at Barry Library and it's our first birthday 🥳.

Our talented volunteers have fixed 385 items over 10 cafes so far, and we think that's worth celebrating.

We'll be fixing (or at least trying to) your items; lamps, clothing, toys, electricals, office chairs, jewelry, and more for free - one repair per person due to demand.

Come along and celebrate with us whether you've something to be fixed or not.

Our March repair cafe is our 1 year anniversary & we're going to be celebrating!

Of course we'll be fixing your items as usual but we'll also have cake & extra big smiles 😁.

We couldn't have made the Barry #RepairCafe a success without you, so a huge thank you to all our volunteers, every single person who has attended, those who have shared our posts and spread the word, and of course to Barry Library for letting us take over once a month.

We're looking for a reception/data entry volunteer to input the information from our forms on the day while the #RepairCafe is happening.

We're hoping to have someone start in April - we can't train someone on our birthday celebration in March!

You'll need to be able to type and read handwritten forms.
All the details of where and how to enter the data will be explained.

No need to commit to every month.
