Alle ogen gericht op een relatief heel klein conflict in Gaza, terwijl Rusland op diverse plekken op punt van doorbreken staat in Oekraïne. Terwijl de gevolgen van Russisch succes in Oekraïne voor Nederland veel erger zijn dan welke afloop in Gaza ook. Zonder daarmee het lijden in Gaza te willen bagatelliseren overigens.

@ErikJonker die aanval van hamas was een perfect gecoördineerde actie die heeft bereikt wat de bedoeling was. Rumoer en afleiding veroorzaken zodat de acties van putin gewoon minder van belang zouden lijken.

Die timing is m.i. geen toeval en hierin is hamas ook maar als een middel gebruikt.

@koen vroeger was het simpel een ritje naar Dronten en daar passen. Dat is inmiddels wel wat anders geworden. Je moet er vooral goed ín passen. Het is niet fijn als je steeds je knieën stoot. Indertijd heb ik zelf een alleweder gemaakt en naderhand aangepast om ritjes zoals Parijs-Amsterdam mee te kunnen doen.

@koen ja, dat gaat hard. Dan idd jammer als het niet naar je zin is. Enigszins afsluitbaar is ook wel fijn, zodat je je helm er goed in kwijt kunt en bij regen niet op een natte stoel hoeft te gaan liggen. Goede accu verlichting en richting aanwijzer zullen nu wel standaard zijn. Bij mijn alleweder had ik de laad aansluiting niet heel handig geplaatst. Bedenk ook waar je je fiets’je’ kwijt wilt. Zeker die Carbon dingen zijn behalve groot ook wat kwetsbaar.

@ElleGray not so sure about that. A true leader listens, filters, combines and set a path. Generations tend to have very different ideas and trying to get into touch with those changes is worthwhile. A course can help.

Greetings everyone!

I'm Simon Tatham, free software developer based in Cambridge, UK. Best known for PuTTY and a collection of puzzle games; various other things largish and smaller. Mostly tend to start my own projects rather than joining existing ones. (I think just because that's my idea of fun.)

This is my first time dipping my toe into short-form social media. (I was never on the birdsite.) Probably expecting to post random tech musings, with occasional maths.

@ivory maybe it’s already implemented and I missed it. In that case I have no doubts you will point me the way.
Since there are a lot of settings possible in the various instances, enable an easy way to open the web interface for features/ settings not yet controlled by ivory. Something like ‘boring’ or ‘advanced’ settings?
