So the RAF is now in combat defending ISRAEL against Iran, which is responding to Israel destroying Iran's consulate in Damascus.

This is what the Tories and "Labour" define as the "defence of the realm".

Again, the DWP have been found by a coroner to have hounded a vulnerable claimant into the grave;

an un-named claimant (reports the Observer) begged the to deal with her via her daughter, was not (despite six opportunities) registered as 'vulnerable' & found her debt in 'overpaid' soaring.

In the end seeking escape she overdosed (and subsequently dies).

The UK state's institutions operate at a level of callousness than is inhumane & life threatening... it comes from the top!

@ChrisMayLA6 it is a feature not a bug, as anyone who has had to deal with the DWP will tell you.

even if you get a helpful person, the systems hurdles are set up to make it as hard as possible and as grudging as possible.

@fkamiah17 yep, you are young and poor, work till you drop for the rich and young who had free rides to further education and family inheritance that makes them better than you.

Youth, I want to be an actor/engineer/artist/writer/whatever but no way I can afford the training/study fees.

rich shits in tory/labout party, shut up and give me my burger and fries, and a receipt so I can reclaim it on expenses.

But today I heard a 'friend', not a close one, praising Brigadier General Kitson. Who died last week.

For those not in the know, his tactics in Northern Ireland was to kill Catholic civilians, to cow the population, a trick he learned in Kenya, Aden and elsewhere.

Welp, @Menhit has caught a mouse in my office but we now discover the inconvenient fact that she doesn't know how to kill a mouse, so when I startled her she let it go and it ran behind my bureau desk.

(This is the second confirmed mouse in the house since late 2007. Driven indoors by the weather, I guess, because only a madmouse would court her feline attention.)
